'tis looking pretty good as far as starting in environment painting studies go! Plants are waaay difficult, especially if you're not using fancy brushes; in a way foliage might be easier traditionally rather than digitally since it's easier to get a variation of textures in! Though, it's unfortunate to hear that you didn't find it enjoyable, I must note.

That's what I thought about myself as well, before I tried doing this and the previous deviation! I could never have done anything like this if I wasn't just copying a photo, though.

I'd suggest you also show some way to see the reference photo so people could compare them, but also, it's quite good! I always thought landscapes are the hardest thing to do...

The reference photo was from a folder on my computer; I downloaded a bunch of photos ages ago but don't remember where they came from, so I couldn't easily link to them.
