Description Invoking is a form of magic that allows the user to summon cosmic energy in the form of classical elements.
The primary elements are earth, air, fire and water.
The cosmic elements are light, darkness and balance.
The secondary elements are lightning, metal, wood and ice.
The magical elements are mind, body, spirit and health.

Any invoker can use any element, but the raw power of each element depends on the affinity the invoker has with it.
The affinity that an invoker has with any element relies on the soul of the invoker, more specifically the ‘levels’ within a soul.

The first level is personality. This is from where the strength of the primary elements is derived. The stronger that element is within the invoker’s personality, the more powerful the element. For example, a person with a ‘fiery’ personality will be able to use fire better than someone more orientated towards wind- but there will always be a little of each element within the soul of any human.

The second level is alignment- essentially, how good or evil you are. This is from where the power of the cosmic elements is derived. Like the affinities with the primary elements, an evil human will be able to use darkness much better than light, a good would be able to use light far better than darkness, and a perfectly neutral being will be able to use both equally well. However, only a person truly at peace will themselves will be able to directly invoke

Though not strictly speaking a level, the emotions an invoker is feeling while summoning an element can temporarily boost or inhibit their ability to summon an element. For example, if a person usually aligned towards earth was feeling a fire based emotion, their fire Invoking ability would temporarily climb, at the cost of partially blocking their natural affinity with earth.
It is possible to change one’s affinities- but only if the invoker’s alignment shifts or their personality undergoes a massive change. To put it another way: If the invoker’s personality changes, their affinities change accordingly.

The secondary elements can be summoned by fusing elemental cosmic energies before they can take on physical form. For example, fusing wind and water energy will create ice. Naturally, to summon secondary elements, the invoker must have a reasonable affinity with both, or combine their energy with that of another invoker.

The magical elements cannot be directly summoned as such, because they are metaphysical aspects. Like the secondary elements, they are created by fusing unsolidified energies. This time, they are created by fusing primary elements with cosmic elements. ‘Mind’ allows the use of telepathy. ‘Body’ allows the user to temporarily increase their strength, speed and durability to superhuman levels. ‘Spirit’ involves the sensing of life and grants empathic abilities. ‘Health’ allows a user of sufficient skill to heal any ailment, either physical or mental.

Invoking requires the use of hands, or something that otherwise channels cosmic energy. Only complete masters of invoking can invoke without the use of hands or channels. Elemental energies can be channelled through special gems to create weapons, with attributes based upon their element. Elemental energies can also be channelled through specialised firearms that condense the energy like a bullet.

‘Rogues’ can be sealed into special gems. Only one ‘rogue’ can be sealed away per crystal. Only someone with training similar to that of an invoker has the mental discipline and cosmic awareness required to manipulate the energies required to seal a ‘rogue’ into a crystal. Once sealed, the ‘rogue’ becomes ‘bound’. ‘Bound’ monsters become friendly to their sealer, due to the assimilation and absorption of their sealer’s energy. They can then be released from their crystal at any time to fight for their sealer, but can only be sealed away again into their original sealing crystal. Only the original sealer can release the ‘bound’ from its crystal.

Is raiton really a mix between Katon and Futon? Wouldn't that be a kekey genkai then? I think raiton is not a mix of elements but one of the main elements itself.

Nope, you're thinking of Naruto, though i did warn that it would be quite similar in description...
No, in this universe that is still growing from my imagination, spirit monsters roam freely, and though many are weak even more are so strong that only the Invokers- users of elemental magic- can stop them. Though they can all harness more than one element, the fun really begins when they start using them simultaniously, or start mixing them. I admit some combos make more sense than others, but rest assured, lighting isn't a 'main' element in my universe. Still very powerful though.

This is very similar to the system I've been working on for my original characters who use magic. What you call the primary elements are what I call the elements of nature and the balance elements are the fusion of the natural elements.

One other difference is that what you call the magic elements are what I call the spiritual elements, which are attributes combined to create life, and I identify them as mind, body, soul and emotion. Nonetheless, your diagram still shows the balances in nature, life and the universe and that's good.
