The angels were watching.----
If you only look at the thumbnail, you will make a panda very, very sad.
Hi hi lovely people X3 Back for a bit. Hope you're all well.
Really need to practice painting. So I did this.
Entirely done in photoshop. Took about 2 days.
Feels nice actually finishing a picture.
Hope it isn't too dark.
And Ohm's legs were done on purpose like that... translucent and stuff.
This is a practice piece... so crits, comments and other stuff are be appreciated
Am not fantastially competent in lighting and color combinations, so professional input wuld be real helpful XD

It's lovely to know that we have guardians watching over us when we sleep. ^_^ We're so vulnerable, then. But he does look a tad sad, for some reason. Maybe it's because he's looking down at her and I'm misinterpreting. Either way, the way you've drawn this is astonishing, and I really love it!

dispite that the faceless person(Ohm was it?) apearing like it might be a tad frightening, this looks soft and sweet.

i noticed that in a lot of other pictures of ohm and squid theyre highly stylized. in this one, hes done in a far more realistic way. its like in all the other ones he was in his world, but here hes entered ours.

I'm not sure why, but the bunny off to the side really drew my attention, as did the green book. Both are well done. The only major critique I have for this picture is that the arm of the 'angel' on the left, or his right seems somewhat skinnier than his left or the arm on the right. Just a comment though.

This is a wonderful piece of work. I love how this looks like it *should* be creepy, with the shadowy being above the girl's bed, but really it's not- Ohm's pose speaks of familiarity and ease with the spot, and he's definitely watching over her, not spying or anything. Lovely.

I really like the lighting you've applied to Ohm, I think it works really well. Overall, the lighting is really well done, kudos to you. I like the translucence you left on his legs, it makes him seem like a ghostly guardian. Great work!

beautifully done full composition! I really like the vivid blue in the sky and the red on the curtains... Also I really like Ohm's pose..
But the girl in the bed looks flat, i think she lacks some dark shades..

i like the dark red of the curtains and the midnight blue night sky. the colors look really good together. the way you've painted it makes them seem so soft and almost ethereal. furthered by Ohm's transparent legs, which i'm glad you pointed out or i might have missed at first. the position of her hands bugs me though. speaking as someone who sleeps on her side, i would think that her left hand would be the one closer to her face and her right one would be more under her pillow or her head. the top of Ohms head also looks a little long. makes you a little unsure exactly where his "face" is.

Oh, swoon. I have always had the biggest crushes on imaginary friends/mysterious characters that watch out for you (Drop Dead Fred, Beetlejuice from the cartoons...). This picture makes me all nostalgic. The sky is really beautiful, too.

This is truly a very lovely piece. I like the lighting though the moon looks a bit too stylized in comparison to the rest of the piece. I really think it's cool that his legs are translucent.

lol do forgive the moon. i was still trying to... 'find' my painting style at that time (i think i still am) and like... there's a bit of 'everything' here and there that results from just mucking around XD

This is already perfect picture, so I don't personally find anything to crit for this. I love the whole composition, and how you did perfect mood for the picture. It's somehow peacefull, but the person sitting above the bed gives uncomfrotable feeling, since when you are asleep you are without guard. So, he could be an enemy, or still, looking at him, when he only guards her sleep gives this sweet kind and gentle mood. You can see or think whatever you want from this, and that's why I like it.
Sorry that I wrote it all so bad, but my english is lousy when I have woked up about 10 minutes ago xDD
But yes, overall, I love this to death! It has everything on it, great perspective, wonderfull choise of colours, and good and interesting characters on it. Even thou, all your characters are interesting and full of imagination.

I like the triangular composition, the eye goes first to the bright line of his shoulders then his face, then follows his gaze down.
Is this digital? It's very cool. Extremely thought provoking. Having his legs translucent, and his face, if he has one, in shadow is a nice touch.
he doesn't look like a traditional angel, he looks like someone you'd be grateful to have on your side and not against you.

i can't find much thing to criticize, as I'm not good in that. but maybe the bookshelf could use a little depth. imean, the table desk has its sides exposed, but the bookshelf looked as if it's from frontal view? Second, Ohm's legs are translucent, I presume, but his shadows is as dark as the bed posts? I think it should be a little lighter?
