After hours I am done.I cannot draw brass.
This character was inspired by pieces such as [link] and [link] , but of course I gave them my own twist.
Her name, "Brass Goggles", comes from the title of a 'Steampunk' name generator site. I fell in lust with the name and decided to use it on her.
Also, I've had this idea in my head for MONTHS.
I'm so glad I let it out. It didn't turn out bad at all compared to what I expected.

I've never critiqued anything before, so I'm trying very hard not to fail this attempt will most likely be futile). Anyway, I would like to express the fact that this character's design is simply amazing and that I am absolutely in love with the aforementioned character design. <3 You are very creative with your characters, which makes me envious, haha. I adore your style too, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it, and to me, that's one of the best qualities an artist's style can have.
I did give you four stars in technique rather than five because while you seem very comfortable with your coloring style and thus are very good with it, I'd recommend you use the soft brushes a little less -- shading with a solid brush and then blending with a softer one would be better in my opinion, but of course you don't have to follow that, your coloring looks amazing this way already. And this is a very minor detail, but I believe that a muted brown or gold like the color of the goggles would have worked better for the background than orange -- but again, that's just my opinion.
Overall, this is a very nice piece, with supercool eye makeup and great hair and awesome piercings -- I could go on and on. I really hope to see this character in your gallery again *hint hint*. :>

Yeah, my biggest complaint out there is the softness. You're right, somehow I'm a bit too comfortable with it. Never liked the hardness. I'm weeeeeeird. Also thing is with the program I use, there aren't too many things I can master too much. I am sad.
Also the background: I had major issues with that! I wanted it to be a bit the kind of orange you use on Halloween cards, but nothing worked for me.
Brown? I don't think the goggles would stick out too much then, do you? Maybe I'll try that next time.
