OMIGOSH THIS GUY IS SO WIN I LOVE HIM!!!
Looking through my gallery, I am beginning to notice a pattern here. I seem to have a thing for Toons with cigars: Smart Guy, Jose Carioca, Smiley Bone...and yet I thing real cigars are disgusting. Plus, the other day I when was at work mowing, a guy came up to me smoking a cigar and it was all I could do not to run for my life!
The sketch on the left is from BONE Volume 5: Rock Jaw's Mountain, and the sketch on the right is (I think) from BONE Volume 4: The Dragonslayer.

Smiley Bone was inspired by an alligator in the "Pogo" series 
Even though finding a good copy of Pogo is hard as heck for me T__T .

I really ought to read those things... they look like the only graphic novels out there that would be of any interest to me! I mean, why aren't there more cartoony graphic novels out there anyway?
Anyway, although I haven't read them, I think I've seen enought art to know that these look real good! They do have a very interesting style, don't they?
You know, I'm not sure if toon cigars would smell any better than real ones. But since no toon has died of cancer...
It is a funny thing, though, isn't it? The image of a fictional character smoking looks so much cooler than the real thing. I don't smoke, of course, simply because I think they stink, but I do have several characters who smoke because they're the kind of person who would smoke- and yet there's still the image thing. If it was nothing more than a stick in their mouths and a cloud of smoke, there wouldn't be as much of a problem...
...And then, of course, there's pot.

I remember picking up one of these comics in BooksAMillion and reading a little bit.
I liked it a little, but that was about three years ago.
But I DEFINATELY recognize this guy. MOST DEF.

Hmm bone, well honestly I have been thinking of getting into the Bone series. As for cigars well some of my characters smoke, in one of my futuer stories I'm even going to have Weasel "smoke" a slim jim. That and I got a female character who smokes cigars in my fantasy story,
