Description
So how did it come that Waka found himself again in heaven?I never sat this long in front of a drawing, and it didn't even come out exactly how I wanted. Waka's wings should have been white and the sky should actually have been more calm but...
Anyway, I like the result! This drawing was done with lots of mediums and special stuff and it was really interesting working with so much stuff and see how they look together.
Especially the crackling varnish on the rocks looks pretty in my opinion.
And it will be for sale at my table at the Tanner artist's market.
Mediums:
- 30 x 42 cm smooth surfaced bristol 250g/m²
- Ecoline watercolours
- Acrylic paints
- 96% Ethanol
- Copic Markers
- Copic Opaque white
- Polychromos - coloured pencils
- Gold and silver ink
- Crackling varnish
- Colour changing effect varnish
- Top coat nail varnish
- Salt
- real gold scraps
And 24 hours of my life in five days.

Everything i know about art is pretty much self taught, I study anatomy books a lot, colouring techniques, talk to other artists watch my environment a lot and always carry a pencil and a sketchbook with me. (:

This is really good, great colors, great shading.
The only thing I don't know if I like is the face. The chin line is so clear and clean, it looks flat as if he's wearing a realistic mask.
It's just that line...I don't know.
But everything else came out very well.
