The bird on his back is a simple play on the idea of dinosaurs becoming more and more birdlike the more we discover. I opted for something seagull-like as I can imagine birds of the sort began appearing. I struggled to find birds that may have been around during the time period. My original plan was to have a small flock (2-3 birds) surrounding the face, but I opted for Pterosaurs as I believe they may have been more abundant at the time.

I love the sail in the back. Since they may have been cold blooded, it's easy to see why such huge, amphibious animals would have needed help sunning.

Uhhh... Buddy... Dinosaurs were deemed as either warm-blooded or some temperature system between warm\cold blooded; both ways deem dinosaurs can control their body temperature

Hence the word 'may'. There was likely some variations between types of dinosaurs too.

Then we gotta accept Spinosaurus Aegypticus, Spinosaurus Morocconus, and Oxalaia were different subspecies\specis of Spinosaurus

It actually looks like another spino in the background chased the fish toward the main spino! I like the possibility of cooperative hunting among these spinosaurus

This is literally the coolest feathered spino I've ever seen.

I'd love for them to find solid proof of large theropods having feathers. I LOVE the possibilities with feathers, it adds a new dimension to paleoart.

There is equivocal evidence of Deinocheirus having feathers........

Really awesome! The colours are great!
And first time I see a pterosaur sitting on a Spinosaurus sail!

The bird could be related to genus like Iberomesornis and Eolulavis, which livedΒ almost around that time, however in Iberia.
