Description

  At the course of heading back to your room, you realized that there was nothing to do so you just roamed around the little island. The rays of the sun were rather gentle at this hour so it didn't bother you to walk around nonsensically. A meow caught your attention and you looked around to find a source. Going around searching for a little, you found a tiny cub all by itself.

                "Aww." You murmured, captivated by its cuteness.

                You set down your guitar on a nearby tree and approached it slowly and carefully. It noticed you and meowed again, trotting to you. You melted and just sat there, waiting for the cub to reach you. He nudged your leg, tickling you a little and jumped to your torso, making you hold him. He licked your chin and you giggled, not used to this kind of display.

                "You are so adorable~" You cooed, hugging him tighter but never too much.

                A low growl from behind you made you stop your cuddling and he happily meowed and jumped out of your arms and went behind you. You slowly turned around and saw a huge lion with a scar on his left eye that extended to his torso, and he looked really pissed. You blinked several times; sweat dripping from the side of your head while wishing that this wasn't real. In one motion, the lion licked your face leaving you stunned. He purred against your side and you were still dumb founded with the happening so you were just being pushed. After a few moments, you came to yourself and just theorized that cats really like you, so you just went with the flow. You nuzzled the big mane the lion had, and he let out a satisfied purr.

                "So much for being called a cold-blooded killer." You hummed, stroking his fur, "I guess I'll call you... Eustass!" You beamed, chuckling to yourself about their resemblance.

                The cub then nudged you and looked at you with hopeful eyes making you melt once again. You carried him and placed kisses all over his face.

                "Then I guess I'll call you Kid. A bit confusing, but it'll do." You smiled, setting him down and ruffling his fur a little bit.

                You stood up and started to walk away when you heard the same growl from earlier behind you and a panicked scream. You whirled around and saw the robed man on the ground with Eustass closing in on him.

                "Eustass!" You scolded, making him jump and look at the ground as if a little kid.

                You uttered a small sorry and stroked his mane, turning to the robed man and looking at him with displeasure.

                "I thought I told you to piss off." You snarled.

                "You did, but I'm a rather stubborn guy." He answered, getting up and dusting himself off.

                "Well okay then," You sighed, "Want him to rip you to pieces?" You asked nonchalantly as you pointed to Eustass.

                "I'd rather not." He deadpanned.

                "So piss off." You walked away with Eustass and Kid behind you.

                "Commander ___!" He called, making you look at him with wild eyes.

                "Save the world." He uttered, removing his cloak and revealing a person you knew.

                Red hair and black eyes, a rather built and tall man on the tan side. He wore a black tank top, dark brown cargo pants and combat boots, as if he never changed.

                "Lucian!" You shouted, throwing yourself into his arms.

                "___! I thought you'd never recognize me!" He murmured, holding you tightly.

                "I couldn't with that darn cloak in the way." You chuckled sheepishly as you broke apart.

                "I'm really surprised to see you here; I even thought that you went back to North Blue!" He admitted.

                "I couldn't bring myself to, holds too many painful memories. But enough about me, what are you doing here?" You asked, walking with no direction whatsoever.

                "Life of justice didn't really suit me, I think I'd rather cause havoc than go and help people I don't know." He laughed as he walked beside you and wrapped an arm around you which you didn't mind.

                "Hmm. I really just wanted to lay low." You hummed thoughtfully, making him peer at your face as if you were sick.

                "Something's changed about you." He suddenly noted, making you blush.

                "W-what are you talking about? Of course something must have changed; it's been a long time since we last saw each other." You feebly defended while you tried to hide your face by looking to the side.

                "It's not physical, but rather... emotional?" He thought out, still trying to figure out what different.

                You continued walking for a little way until he abruptly stopped and looked very pleased with a lit light bulb over his head.

                "You're in love!" He shouted out, making you blush wildly and judo chop him hard on his head all the while flustered.

                "I was right!" He shouted again, running away from you with a smile.

                "There's nowhere you can run!" You roared, running as fast as you can and tackling him to the ground.

                Knowing his weakness, you tickled his sides and he roared of laughter with you giggling on top of him.

                "S-stop! Hehehe! I'll get you back for this!" He said between giggles and laughs.

                "I won't give you the chance!" You chuckled, before stopping short and attempting to run away from him but he caught up to you and got you from behind, spinning you around.

                "Nooo! Don't!" You protested before you were slammed to the ground with Lucian hysterically screaming which made you confused.

                Eustass was nipping on Lucian's pants playfully, but it didn't seem playful to him at all. You laughed hysterically, not being able to take his girly screams just earlier.

                "Just let him off me!" He shouted embarrassingly, trying to push away Eustass' face from his lower clothing.

                You giggled as you restrained Eustass and cuddled with him for a little bit before looking at Lucian with a mischievous look. He looked at you with displeasure and crossed his arms.

                "Awww, Lucy baby is upset." You mocked, poking his arm.

                "He practically attacked me!" He explained.

                "We were playing so he wanted to play too." You chuckled at his intolerance for animals.

                "Just get him away from me." He muttered, getting up.

                "Sure thing." You complied with a smile, letting him help you up.

                "Don't let anyone know about my girly screams earlier too, okay?" He added, whispering to you.

                You nodded and continued to walk with your new comrades by your side, until a thought crossed you mind making you stop abruptly.

                "My damn guitar!" You panicked running back to where you thought it was.

                After a few minutes of searching you found it and you collapsed with a sigh of relief.

                "Why do I always forget you?" You asked to no one, crawling towards it.

                "You came back for this?" Lucian asked behind you.

                "Of course. It's important to me." You answered, holding the instrument with the utmost care as you stood up.

                "If it's important then why'd you forget it?" He asked again nonchalantly.

                "It's because I was reunited with you." You said, looking at him with hopeful eyes which made his heart jump a beat and made him blush.

                "Assuming." You chortled and walked away.

                "O-oi!" He called after you.

                "Still troublesome aren't we?" He noted feeling stupid.

                "Yup!" You chimed, practically skipping as you walked.

                "What's got you so happy? Me, perhaps?" He thought out, making you look at him like he's crazy.

                "Bitch no." You answered plainly.

                "Who then?"

                "Someone that's not you."

                Your walk continued with a pleasant atmosphere, chatting about unimportant things ranging from guitars to the lost time between them. You walked around the castle several times before your conversation ended with the sight of Lucian's captain, Basil Hawkins.

                "Captain!" He called.

                "Lucian." He greeted with a monotonous voice, "Who's your friend?" He asked.

                "This is ___. We were together in the marines before." He introduced you, feeling a bit shy for no reason whatsoever.

                "Together, as in...?" He trailed off, making you both flustered.

                "No no no no!" You denied, "We were in the same group is all!" He explained further.

                He chuckled, which was a rather rare sight considering the constantly unamused man.

                "I see something strange in your fate ___. Don't let confusion take over you." He simply said before walking away.

                You looked at Lucian confusedly and he just shrugged.

                "You know how he is." He said, before continuing to walk but stopped short again when a long-armed captain walked out the castle doors.

                "Yo! Is that a guitar? You should join my crew!" Apoo said nonchalantly, wrapping an arm around you.

                "I'm afraid I'm bonded to my captain Eustass Kid." You explained sheepishly earning a look from Lucian.

                "Ohhh you're bonded to him. Guess I shouldn't be flirting with my fellow captain's girlfriend. Apapapa!" He gushed before walking away.

                "Wh-what? I'm not his girlfriend!" You shouted after him but only got his peculiar laugh or whatever in return.

                "Bonded to him? Seriously?" Lucian asked you with an unimpressed look.

                "It was the first word that I thought of." You explained with a raging blush.

                "Uh-huh. Just pretend I'm not here." He hummed as he went away but you still followed him and tugged on his sleeve.

                "Heeeey! Don't leave meee!" You said in a rather childish tone.

                "No no no. Just go to your captain and spend time with him. Of course you'd rather be with your newly found captain than your long-time friend." He muttered to himself as you were being dragged behind him.

                "I didn't mean it like that!" You tried to explain but he refused to listen.

                You released him and you hit his head with your guitar which didn't make him stop.

                "Spend time with meee!" You demanded as you hit his head continuously.

                "No no no. Go to him and be embraced by his strong arms. What can I do? His arms are worth thrice than mine, and his other arm is metallic. How can I match up to that?" He muttered again under his breath.

                "What are you doing?" A voice asked, later recognizing it as Kid's.

                "Oh it's nothing Captain! Carry on with your day." You greeted, still hitting Lucian with your guitar.

                "Hey Captain Kid. I'm returning ___ to you now." He said as he shoved you towards Kid.

                "O-oi!"

                "And who are you?" Kid growled.

                "Just a guy passing by." He deadpanned before walking away and leaving you two.

                "Who was that?" He asked you, his gaze soft.

                "A friend I was in the marines with." You replied with a thoughtful smile.

                "You were in the marines?" He inquired, brows furrowed.

                "I thought Killer would have told you. Don't worry, that was a lifetime ago. I'm entirely committed to you." You hummed thoughtfully.

                "Committed?" He echoed.

                "I mean, I'm for you. Oh uhm. That really came out wrong." You tried to explain but couldn't really find the right words.

                "Of course you're committed to me. I am your captain now." He said before ruffling your hair.

                "I am aren't I?" You chuckled.
