That wouldn’t be good for his children. They will be bombarded and might show up at Natsuo’s college, the school Fuyumi works at, or at UA. They might even show up to the hospital Rei is at, which would be awful for her recovery and might be a major set back. Endeavor knows the sins of his past cannot easily be forgiven, having just so now realized how futile and truly horrible those sins are. But I get the feeling that he now has a greater understanding of what it means to be the Number One hero beyond the glory and the accolades. I think if anything he will be working just as hard and with as much determination as he had when he committed his wrongs into making amends for them. Making himself into a better hero and a better man.
And as the manga stated he actually has visited Rei several times and given her gifts, though she still cannot see him, but it shows that on some level he does care for her.
I doubt that there will be a perfect end for Endeavor or his family's situation. But I think that works out because it shows how there is no perfect end in life. But that there is hope and that we must work towards it.

I thought they explained his treatment of his family as his drive to be the number one hero or have Shoto to be the #1 hero. Also, I believe an understanding of forgiveness between the two of them would be a good enough ending IMO. I just have trouble seeing how they're going to make a marriage like this work. He sent her to a psychiatric hospital and kept her there for 10 years, that's something one shouldn't easily forgive.
But this is all my opinion, and I can see that you think of it differently.

I think, in the end, you're probably right and we won't have a big reveal, another "hidden" reason of why he was such an asshole to his whole family beside wanting to be number 1. I keep hoping in my heart that there is another "secret" reason, a shocking revelation or something that will magically fixed up everything while knowing perfectly it's very unlikely to happen. I guess I'm just another hopeless romantic.
but in the end, if we look rationally at what happened the manga, you're probably right and it won't go further than that.
