Wow, that's a great job! You really managed to pull off looking like a live-action version of Kaede, and looking almost exactly like a live-action version of any anime character isn't easy. Kudos from a Kaede fan.

It's no problem, and I'm really glad that you chose to cosplay as Kaede.
She is my favorite of the Shuffle girls by far, even though she's a little unstable, because I tend to be a sucker for the "childhood friend" scenario and I like how faithful she is to Rin, even though she can overdo it sometimes (not as much in the game, they only made her a Yandere when they made the anime).
I've seen both "good" and "bad" Kaede's before, so I'm glad that you're one of the good ones. Have you worn this to a convention or event before, or just for the photo shoot?

Yes I've worn it once on the opening night of a convention here in Belgium ^^ I was happy because another Shuffle cosplayer was there too that evening

I'm sorry about not replying for almost a year. I'm a 24-year-old graduate student finishing a master's degree in biology and about to go on to a second master's degree in medical science, so between class work, making phone calls, sending applications, interviews, research, being a teacher's assistant for 3 other classes and Kendo practice I have a really busy life and can't spend as much time on DA as I wish I could. @_@
I like to think I'm a relatively picky judge when it comes to cosplayers - not because I'm trying to be a jerk, but because I want to see how close people can get their cosplays to look like what we saw on the game or the show, so when I compliment someone, I definitely mean it. That was a great Kaede and I haven't seen a lot of great ones.
I'm glad you were able to actually wear it out to a 'con, and that another Suffle cosplayer recognized you. I'm sorry her costume wasn't as good; I think you're right, a character's hair is a big part of who they are so a good wig is just as important as a good costume, and sometimes more if the character's hair is a big deal, like Asa's famous green hair.
At all the 'cons I went to, I would usually only see one Shuffle! cosplayer at a time, and it would always be one of the girls and usually Kaede. I'd never see a Rin or an Itsuki or one of the two dads... actually, I was just at Ichiban Con at Charlotte, North Carolina here in the US, and at that 'con, I did see another Asa and she was actually pretty decent.
And yeah - osananajimi rule.
