Some 'mon fanart. P: Please don't be killin me nao.This could also be called 'PRACTICE' with colored pencils and inking pens. I...I'm pretty happy with how it came out, but there's a lot of things I could fix. >>;
touched it up a bit with photoshop because my scanner has a tendancy to murder things.

The two things I notice about this picture is that, one, it is hard to recognize where the head is, and two, he looks a bit flat. But really, they both go hand in had with shading xD
My advice is to make they shading more dynamic by increasing the contrast. Take advantage of another light colour (like white, pale blue or pale purple) and keep areas of glossy highlights where the light hits most strongly. Also, use the same trick (but with darker colours) to make the shadows more noticeable and make the snake look more round.
And to make the head pop more (though this will take mostly experimentation), try increasing the contrast between the body behind it, and the head in front by using more vibrant colours for the head or duller/darker colours for the body.

Mewmewmew~ I love the shiny ones, they're so PRETTY. ;w; I have all of the legendaries right now, but the only ones that I usually use are my to Rayquazzas and my Lugia.
