Thunder crashed as Rainbow Dash set her fellow Pegasus on the wet grass and stood, turning to face the oncoming threat; a huge swarm of Changelings, one even bigger than the one that had attacked Canterlot. "Fluttershy... Stay here."

"B-But Rainbow Dash, I--" Fluttershy's attempt to reason with Dash was futile, as the flier's voice cut her off, harsh yet sorrowful.

"Fluttershy! ...I... I'm gonna hold them off, alright? It might cost me, but I'll protect you with my life if I have to." The timid girl accepted her words, nodding and speaking softly.

"...R-Rainbow Dash... I love you..."

"...I love you too, Flutters. Never forget that." Glaring up at the approaching swarm through the freezing downfall of rain, Rainbow Dash finally let her tears flow freely as she took off to battle.

Something I came up with yesterday. No, this isn't gonna spawn a huge series of drawings (I still have one going, remember? lol). Oh, and I wanna explain why the wings are glowing. It kinda randomly came to me, really. I figure if this ever DID spawn an anime series, they'd probably be humans. But since that's boring, I ran with the idea and came to the conclusion that they'd be able to 'summon' their wings and or horns when they're using them. For instance, if Twilight were going to use a spell, a glowing purple horn would appear in a flash a light so she could.
