Old sketch (broken record at this point, right?)

Marina was/is still one of my fave and primary original characters, even though she's very very little in my more recent artworks. She was the basis of my World of Warcraft character Marinas (who you've seen in other pics) and has a bit of a personal influence in her design...if you get the hint...

She was also the main character of the aforementioned heavy planned-but-never-finished fiction where the Blaze character shows up.

Marina's one of those 'don't be fooled by her outside appearance' characters...her outfit is pretty simple, but it fits her background: a swimmer/beachside shopkeeper/sea-summoner (and hidden background). Her name pretty much defines her...she loves the water, the beach, swimming...and has an Alisia Dragoon style knack for, oh, communicating with animals (particularly her companion dolphin Saron).

But don't be fooled by her appearance (although how many gals do you know with bright green hair )...she's no dumb beach babe. Nope, Marina's intelligent and quite adventurous, hoping to learn more about ruins of the sea and especially ATLANTIS someday. Of course, she knows that she looks pretty good too, as this image kinda shows...

Maybe I should talk about the image...well, the main feature is Marina's cute self, lounging in her shop on a lazy hot day (like today), reading of the legends of Atlantis once again. The shop itself and its 'stuff' are rather simple, but again remember this pic is from many many years ago. <:

And excuse a cheap joke thrown in.
