Description This is a fun picture! I get soo tranced when i start to study the yellow flowers infront of her! the way they just jump off the picture and add so much depth! I love it! Now where are those ruby red slippers?

My friend found the tornado pic for me to add in... i dont know where he got it from... he said he got it on a google search... so if you know who it is that did it let me know so i can give them credit!

Really odd picture, and i really like it. I was wondering if i can use this one for a minor school project? It will be lightly edited with some text on it, but published nowhere but on my school. And i will add credit of course.

great job on the manipulation youd never know ... except for the fact that she should be terrified

it looks great, it woulda taken alot of work to put te twister in there, although it is definitely a manipulation, because it is made o photographic elements. if it wa all painted from scratch using a program it would be paintings & airbrushing, see my pics for an example. i love that she has a smile, it gives it a strange, dream like mood, like 'hey why is she not worried?' i think tis awesome

Was this photo-manipulated? I grew up in Hawaii, so I know zero about twisters, but that looks damn scary to me!

it is an added manip! But that is the only element! You should see the work it took to make it look like there was a twister behind her! tossing the wildlife... clearing a path! just lots of work! Then she smiled

but I love it! thinking about redoing it with ruby red slippers!

Gotta admit, the smile IS a bit odd. Sort of a "What? You're taking my picture?! But I haven't brushed my teeth!" nervous smile. If she was grinning like a madwoman it would be a little different, I think.

(But you should really re-categorize this one into 'photomanipulation' since there really wasn't a tornado behind the poor girl.)

When you look at your own work, assuming you're logged in, there will be a button below it that says 'edit deviation'. Click on that, and it will present you with an option to change the category.

nice... and where do you put it? photo manip? if that is that case then all my work is manips? would you consider this a manip? is that where DAVID LA CHAPELLES work would go?

Yes, Photo Manip is where anything that has been heavily photo-edited goes. Adding or taking out props, backgrounds, people-- all definitely photo manipulation. Recolouring and things like that I'm not as sure about, and I think we're all allowed to touch up dust and scratches and still call it a photograph. Just making a photo sepia-toned or color correcting is probably still safe too, but adding blood-covered strawberries is definitely no longer taking a picture of what you saw..... unless, of course, you'd strung strawberries on a thread, held them up, and then drizzled blood on them.

It's also good form to credit your sources if you haven't taken the pictures of everything yourself (like that tornado?).
