Hey Guys, This Is Ptbf2002 Here Once Again, And Today's TV Show Review Is the 1991 Nickelodeon TV Series, And That One Is..... Rugrats. Yes! i remember watching this show back then. the show was started airing in 1991 since it's first episode, the show was originally aired on Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, TeenNick, Nick Jr. NickRewind, CBS, Originally Streamed On Netflix, And The Hulu Beta On Disney Plus. And Currently Streaming On Hulu, And Paramount Plus. the show involves group of toddlers, most prominently, Tommy pickles, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil and their day-to-day lives, usually involving life experiences that become much greater adventures in the imaginations of the main characters. first thing we have, is Tommy Pickles. He is the courageous, compassionate, intelligent leader of the Rugrats, and so always leads his friends during adventures and knows what to do in most situations. He has a cute character design just like the other Rugrats characters. He also happens to be only one year old, which gives him an endlessly interesting perspective on life, being a baby. He likes to unravel the great mysteries of life, like learning what it means to be a big brother. He is a loyal friend, as he's always there for Phil, Lil, Kimi, Susie, and especially Chuckie. His friendship with Phil, Lil and Chuckie was emotionally tested in The Rugrats Movie, as the struggle of Dil was getting to them. Eventually, the babies made up and reunite with Tommy, and help him and Dil get out of the forest to the "lizard’s house". He loves his family very much, his grandparents, his parents, even his cousin Angelica, etc. He especially loves his baby brother, Dil, and that emotional scene in The Rugrats Movie where they greatly bond and Tommy apologizes to him. Since then, Tommy has shown the great mysteries of life to him, and teaching his brother the great aspects of life, and always there to protect him during their adventures. He is very playful and loves going on adventures, such as exploring the forest, as well as Paris during the first 2 movies. He comes up with the most ideas to get himself and the other babies out of trouble, like how he saw the Reptar robot during Rugrats in Paris, and so came up with the ideas to get him and the rest of his friends, his brother and his cousin out of there and march to stop the wedding. Once Tommy lost his bravery in "The Bravliest Baby", however he was able to come back from it and help his friends and lead them once more. Number 2. Chuckie Finster. He is very loyal to his peers, as he cares about his family and friends very much. He’s loves his dad, Chaz, very much, as well as his step-mom, Kira, and his step-sister, Kimi, and always tries to make them proud, as well as trying his best of being a good big brother to Kimi. Chuckie cares about his friends very much, Phil, Lil, Susie, and especially his best friend, Tommy, and is always there for them, like when he came back to Tommy to defend him and Dil from the monkeys in The Rugrats Movie. While timid, he remains a cute and kind boy, like when he's friendly to even Angelica at times. He can be brave sometimes, like when he was brave during Rugrats in Paris, and stopped the wedding of his dad and Coco by saying "NO!" as he was running in, saying his first ever word to the adults. He is very smart for his age, managing to use the Reptar Wagon to quickly get to Tommy and Dil and use the Banana food jar to lure the monkeys away from them in The Rugrats Movie. Though he is scared of many things, he tries really hard to be brave, like when he went through his dad’s greenhouse to help Tommy when he was struggling with a water hose in "Farewell, My Friend". Incredible voice acting by the late Christine Cavanaugh. Nancy Cartwright also did a good job voicing him. In All Grown Up, Chuckie is always not afraid to risk his bravery. In the episode "The Finster Who Stole Christmas" he confessed to his dad Chaz that he stolen a Christmas tree even though he was afraid of being chased out of town He is an early version of Double D from Ed, Edd n Eddy, like Double D, Chuckie's not afraid to give out word of advice. Number 3. Phil and Lil DeVille. Phil and Lil are the fun and weird babies of the group, as they both like to eat many bugs. They both care about their parents very much, as well as each other, and they are always there for each other. Even when they fight, they do put aside their differences to work together to help their friends. They also care about their friends very much, like Tommy and Chuckie, and helps them out in many situations, like helping Chuckie save Tommy and Dil from the monkeys in The Rugrats Movie. They have many funny moments, like their funny story about starring in a diaper commercial in "Baby Commercial", and when they wore spaghetti on their heads in "Candy Bar Creep Show". Like Tommy, they also go on adventures that are scary and messy, thinking those are the better adventures, showing bravery and courage. Kath Soucie did a great job voicing them. Number 4. Susie Carmichael, She's the "foil" of Angelica, and is the complete opposite of her. While Angelica is mean, bossy and bratty, Susie is kind, loving, caring, patient and protective when it comes to her friends. She is a good friend to the Rugrats and will often play with them and help them out in situations. She stands up to Angelica whenever Angelica is picking on her and/or the Rugrats, also whenever Angelica does something wrong, which is brave. She does care about her family very much and will try to help them in anyway she can, and also take advice from them whenever she's in a situation she can't solve on her own. While she often stands up to Angelica, she tries her best to be her friend, and also help Angelica whenever she wants to do something right or whenever Angelica needs an answer to something, which shows how great her kindness is. She's also good at some things, such as fixing toys, as she even fixed Cynthia, Angelica’s doll, as well as dancing. Even when Angelica tries to ruin her day, she still finds ways to turn things around, like having a comedy act to win the talent show. She is shown to be fluent in French in Rugrats in Paris: The Movie. Her biggest movie role was in Rugrats Go Wild!, where she actually tags along with the Rugrats and Angelica on their adventure, and she helps them and makes sure they are safe. She's very adorable, like most of the Rugrats characters. Cree Summer did a great job voicing her. Number 5. Dil Pickles. He has a very cute design, like many of the other Rugrats characters. Tara Strong does a great job voicing him, except when he cries. His flaws are normally excusable, seeing that he's very young, and the youngest of the Rugrats, so he still has a lot to learn. He has some funny moments, such as calling Angelica "yucky", and when he tried to walk to follow his brother and his friends. He's shown to care for his friends and family, especially Tommy, as he makes up with him when he realized what his bad behavior has done to him in The Rugrats Movie, since then, he's always looked up to Tommy as his role model. He's also not afraid to call out on any of his family if they do something bad, like when he called out on Angelica for tricking Chuckie’s dad, Chas, into marrying Coco, after Angelica reveals it during Rugrats in Paris. He has a group of fans of the show that do root for him, despite his flaws. This is especially true considering the fact that his debut was in the movies, being born in The Rugrats Movie. He definitely has his likable moments, such as in the movies, where he's part of the adventure, shows care for his brother and his friends and even takes part in helping them save the day. He got great character development when his older kid self appeared in the spin-off, All Grown Up!, where he became a more likable and caring character, as well as a very funny comic-relief character. Number 6. Kimi Finster, She is the first recurring character of East Asian descent in the show and intentionally fuels its diversity. She has a cute design, like many of the other Rugrats characters. She has some funny moments, like when she drew Reptar on the chalkboard and wants her old friends to guess it, which they got right, but only because they saw the big robot Reptar (which had the Rugrats in him), outside their window, and the scene where she was playing married with her Super Thing and Cynthia before Angelica comes in and takes back Cynthia from her. She cares about her family and friends very much, especially Chuckie, as she does look up to him for advice, and will often be sad whenever he doesn't wanna play with her, showing how much she truly cares about him. She can also comfort her group at times, such as when she comforted Tommy when he felt sad about how he led them into trouble, but reminded him of how he made sure they were safe in "Rugrats Go Wild". She has a group of fans of the show that do root for her, despite her flaws. This is especially true because her debut was in the movies, being introduced in "Rugrats in Paris: The Movie". She has her likable moments, like in the last two movies, where she helps her friends on their adventures. She's also likable in some episodes, for example, "Kimi Takes the Cake", where she was grateful that her friends and brother tried to help her have a good birthday, and she admitted that having them spend time with her is what made her birthday great. Her voice artist Dionne Quan did a decent job voicing her from the last three seasons of Rugrats, as well as the movie, All Grown Up. Her other voice actress, Charlet Chung, also gives a good performance as Kimi. Speaking of All Grown Up, she redeems herself there when she appears as an older kid, as she became much less annoying and was much sweeter and more hilarious. She is also more tolerable in the 2021-present reboot. Speaking About Angelica Pickles, Despite her purpose of being unlikable, Angelica's unlikability in the series will most likely not be the type where you can still enjoy the character despite not being likable to the other characters. Her unlikability gets very frustrating and annoying too. She is a whiny, spoiled brat and toxic control freak who wants to forcefully make everyone get what she wants without thinking of others. She's just a stereotype of one of those mean girls, but not the good kind. She's tempestuous, tyrannical, and very mean towards everyone around her, with her mainly bullying everyone for no reason whatsoever, and there are episodes where she is arguably at her worst. In the infamous episode "Trading Phil", she forced Phil to play with Kayla and Marli so she can hang out with the cool kids. Not to mention, Kayla and Marli were very unlikable. She is very manipulative and spoiled too, as she often manipulates her parents into getting whatever she wants. Whenever she gets a chance for something that will satisfy her, she does all her wickedness to be sure that she gets it. She's cruel towards many kids, especially to her cousins Tommy and Dil, Susie, and the rest of the babies for seemingly no reason other than the fact that the writers wanted it to happen at all; it doesn't make that much sense considering the fact it is never given a reason other than that fact as to why she bullies them all the time. Her voice, while good, can be very grating at times, especially when she yells or sings. Her obsession with cookies and dislike of healthy foods can cause mischief at times. Everything that Angelica encourages kids, in reality, to learn from is bad. Like sweet talking, getting your way, trying to get other people in trouble, stealing food, bullying others, throwing a temper tantrum as an excuse to get out of punishment, causing destruction over food, and running away, making her an awful role model. She can also be a Butt-Monkey at times where she has to deal with the babies stupidity and crying although she usually deserves it for being mean to them. Although she was likable in The Rugrats Movie, there was one part where she boasted to Tommy that Dil would replace him after he was born by making up a dark story-type theory. Which nearly caused Tommy to get Dil killed by choking on baby food. At Least That Angelica Redemed Herself In All Grown Up. Which I Find The All Grown Up Angelica Better Than Her Original One.
