Saw-Whet Owl (Aegolius acadius) at Bird TLC, Anchorage, Alaska.

This guy tried to get out, once while I was changing his water, once when I tried to photograph him. He was dreadfully suspicious of me after that, and did this little hide-behind-his-perch-and-glower maneuver. When I ducked down to take the photo, he raised himself up very tall, then ducked down again when I stood up.

I got my revenge, however, in giggling and thinking that he looked like a mushroom.
