I don't mean to insult when I say this, as I truly am a huge fan of your work. But I really dislike this design. Not the Morrigan herself but her attire. I'm guessing this wasn't down to you though, probably an insistence of hi-rez to make yet another female character scantily-clad, as you can tell this wasn't the direction you initially intended to go with looking at the original concepts (which by the way look fucking great and a lot more Celtic)
I suppose for what little attire she has on though, it's atleast done tastefully.
Like I saw your initial concepts for Izanami and was BLOWN THE FUCK AWAY - and though I do still quite like the design we got, it just didn't compare to the amazing outfits and ideas you had planned. Heck, they even took away the maggots which was a nice touch.
I really hope this didn't come off as rude / offensive, as I'm by no means questioning your talent/ideas, like the artwork is lovely - I think I'm just a bit disappointed with the turnout.

No insult taken. I totally get where you are coming from. I do feel the team did an excellent job with her final design. The first designs for most things in this business (unless you are top tier) almost never get picked. I put more of myself and my research into my first passes on most concepts so your comments mean a lot

It was so odd, just earlier yesterday I was talking to someone about this new hero and how she is exactly what I wanted. I then stumbled on this piece and I said "wow this looks identical to Morrigan" and it ended up being exactly her, to my surprise. I am so happy to have found the person behind the absolutely stunning work on smite. You are truly an inspiration. Thank you.

Were the claw finger accesories addet to her look later?

I think they wanted to move away from the dressed since she plays like an assasing in my oppinion
