Mountain peaks, i loove the cloud formations. Also this road has memories as i so nearly died on this pass
- basically one of the many massive road trains didnt see us, we swerved and braked and ended up with the back wheel over the edged of the pass, and when the pass is 7,000 feet above see level I very nearly had to change my clothes...

I think one of the most impressive aspects of this shot is the almost metallic apparel of the colours - especially the snow slopes on the left and right create this atmosphere. Unfortunately, they also bother me a bit since the crop is so very harsh and I feel there's something missing. I honestly wish you'd have let us seen a bit more of where the mountains come together
The place seems very impressive, however, of course with the story you tell in the description it gets quite a scary touch, but in terms of photography I bet those mountains are source enough for more great shots - where is it?

Unfortunately i made the crop quite large, whats missing is a whole load of power cables, a railway and a road heaving with traffic annd i thought that woud distract from the mountains, so ithought they had to go

I see - well, sometimes those hints of civilization can actually pose a great contras to such natural things - especially since the mountains are snow-capped it might have been not that bad. but I know where you're coming from, I usually try to get rid of these things, as well
