Description I've been working on a period costume. I commissioned the dress from a seamstress who specializes in re-enactments. She was thrilled to work on a recreation, and I put the rest of it together.

This is comparison shot to show the real Mary Surratt and the recreation almost 150 years later, worn at Dragon*Con 2011.

And we're still working on getting the hair right. Plus, I need more petticoats.

Such is the life of a costumer...always improvements/alterations to be made.
