I almost like to imagine that the premise of this image is that Sweetie Belle was surprised to catch an apple with her horn, and now she’s acting all smug about her accomplishment, especially after the last time she tried to do it. The caption “So fab” is the compliment she is giving herself in her head. It sort of cracks me up. The technique is also nicely done. I admire the consistent line work, flawlessly capturing Sweetie Belle appearance. I also like how even thought the background is a plain grey, there’s still some action going on, like the shadow under Sweetie Belle. As for criticisms, I would try to make it look as if SB’s front is connected to the rest of her body. That line separating her chest and her ribs makes it look like they’re not united. Another advisement I would make is to raise her left eye so that the pair looks more aligned. Other than that, I think this illustration is decent. It’s well crafted, and it displays a side to Sweetie Belle that we’ve rarely seen. Keep up the great work, PucksterV!
