I wish he'd held on a little longer. He was a month away from turning 84.

Spock's face should be more solid, and the black patches over his eye and on the back of his neck, removed. I'm sorry if this offends you, but as it is now, the picture looks half-assed.
The sentiment is admirable, however. He will live on in our hearts, and likely in our children and grandchildren's hearts.

My uncle died about a month ago, and at the funeral they asked people to say things about him. I got up and said some (all positive, because that was the truth of the matter) things more or less straight out of my heart, unedited as it were. Glad no one decided to tell me that it was "half-assed." Indeed, to do so would have been rather low, during a period of mourning. To put it another way, if you use an intentionally offensive term just after saying you are sorry if you offend, then you are a cad, and you're not fooling anyone but yourself about the fact.

I was speaking as an art critic when I made the comment, not as one attempting to comfort a friend at a funeral. I am just as demanding towards myself, as noted at armamentdawg.deviantart.com/joβ¦. If you have constructive criticism to offer me- advice on how I can improve my artwork- such criticism will be appreciated, if not welcome (no one likes to be reminded of his ownΒ mistakes). As an artist, you should also be ready to face such criticism.

Wandered by here.... So yes, here's the fundamental problem (as I see it) according to what you delineated by you above: Everything and the only thing YOU think about is YOU. YOU consider yourself an art critic and apparently, per YOUr more recent post, also an art philosopher with all the true answers. YOU are demanding toward YOUrself. YOU appreciate any and all criticism. YOU think that I and everyone else should be ready to face any such criticism from YOU at any moment, and YOU will happily walk into a funeral that other people are holding and start saying abusive things from YOUr great knowledge/position as an art critic because it is not YOU YOUrself who are holding the funeral. And that, of course, is why I banned you from my sites: I have no interest in putting up with people who think they know everything, have no consideration for others, and are ready to nasty (even if they don't think of it as nasty) anywhere and any time about anything(*). And again, if you don't see that this is what you are doing even after writing on and on about how YOU are this and YOU are that and what YOU know and YOU believe - and how I and everyone else should see it just the same way and submit ourselves to whatever YOU want to throw at us...well, again you are only deluding yourself, no one else. Of course, I see you describe yourself on your site as a psycho, so... *shrug*
