Based on what I've seen, the 16th Pokemon movie seems to be shaping up well. I actually think Mewtwo's "Awakening Forme" looks a LOT better than how his original form is drawn by the new animators of the show. The plot centering around Ash promising the Genesect he'd find them their home is classic Ash Ketchum, because despite the chaos and destruction a Pokemon causes, he always tries to find a reason behind it and is willing to show mercy to it. Unfortunately, Mewtwo isn't, and from the plot synopsises and trailers I've seen, I've come up with this scenario:

The Extremespeed Genesect's goal is to find a way back "home", to when before it was resurrected and modified by Team Plasma, but it also has four words implanted i it's mind: EVERYTHING IS AN ENEMY. Only the four purple Genesect understand what they really want, about going back home, but since Extremespeed Genesect is their leader, they obey it's orders.

Somewhere along the way, one of the four purple Genesect befriends Ash and his friends in New Tork City, until Extremespeed Genesect and the other three rampage the city. Mewtwo, in it's new form, may understand the Genesect's words--seeing as how it too was created by human hands--but says that destruction this devastating cannot go unpunished, so it prepares to destroy the Genesect. Ash defends it, claiming how he doesn't want to fight Mewtwo but will do whatever it takes to keep his promise to get the Genesect home.

This is the second time I've drawn Ash in his Unova outfit, as well as the first time drawing Iris, Cilan, Genesect and Mewtwo's Awakening Forme. The reason this Genesect is with Ash is because if you look closely in the second trailer, Extremespeed Genesect fires a Techno Blast at Ash, his friends AND this particular Genesect. I'm guessing after befriending Ash, its considered a "traitor"...
