That legend is one of the motifs used to decorate patient waiting areas at the Todd Cancer Center in the Long Beach Memorial Hospital Medical Center campus. In the entry atrium there is a two story high hanging "assemblage" of origami cranes, assorted sizes and colors, strung one above the other, in columns, for the full length of one wall. The display leaves one with a feeling of soaring hope.
