Wow, great detail and layout.
I just started to shoot the moon (with a D80 as well) and this is a huge inspiration.
Definitely worth the hookup to the telescope.

Thank you! I used Prime. When I ordered the Telescope, I also ordered everything I would need to hook my Nikon directly to it.

Did you do full straight-through or did you keep the 1.25" diag in place?
BTW, what software are you using?
I use the USB cable & the EOS utility for remote control funtcions with my Canon cameras.

I shoot full straight through.
I don't use any software for shooting, just a remote trigger.
I do use PhotoShop to add my watermark.
