I've been planning to draw a feathered war bonnet for quite some time now. I don't know why but i had a strong urge to depict it. So, finally, I nade some research, learned LOTS of interesting things about Native American tribes. I looked through articles and photos and finally found a suitable ref. picture: [link] feather headdress: karamataYeah, I know the drawing looks nothing like the photo but I didn't go for realism - i just wanted to draw a war bonnet
While drawing I enjoyed Crow traditional music (amazingly, i managed to find some examples) and it was the most magnificient music exprerience of this year.

You'll find our music from all tribe sis better than most of th enoise tha tpasses for music nowadays... Well, thats what I think anyway.

I see a lot of native american themed art that's just generic feathers and bones, but I really love seeing some one actually express an interest in the culture before trying to express it

Мягкость перьев так гармонирует с шероховатостью фона , лицо - просто выше всех похвал.
Ну и индейцыыыыыы!!!!! Сколько бессоных ночей под записи шаманских напевов, сколько испорченных подушек для создания головного убора, сколько потрепанных нервов у дворовых бабушек, слушавших мои возгласы "Я - Дочь ЛУНЫ!!!!"

Спасибо)) но до передачи фактур мне еще работать и работать, я пока ленюсь - здесь хотелось нарисовать этот headdress (все не могу вспомнить, как оно по-русски называется!), потому что образ так в мозг засел, что покоя не давал!
Я вот только сейчас открыла для себя традиционную музыку индейцев, жалею, что не сделала этого раньше, потому что это анбиливабл настоящий. Одновременно жутко и потрясающе красиво, как и сами индейцы)))
