Well.I have to say, this one is one of the BEST "villains" i've seen in an anime.
On the end of the movie, you can't help rooting for the guy.
Plus. His character design is mega-awesome.
Now. about the drawing.
Since i drew D on the same position.
i looked for a picture of him like this for reference. And i found one.
A change in angle, and a few detais i added makes things a little different.
I made this one by bits. so i don't really know how much time it took. So, if i have to guess, it was about...10 hours. *SLOW
haha

Wow, oh the irony, I just watched th movie. Could one really consider Meier really that much of a Villain? I ended up confusing his role. 'Cause, in the end, he really did love her, didn't he? I thought he'd end up like the rest of the vampires. But, he really did love her.
I suppose though, Meier was portrayed to be the villain. But, I just can't see him that way. I felt bad for him in the end...

10 hours and it shows! His hair is gorgeous! (And yes I must agree he is one of the best villains I've seen in an anime...and I was rooting for him.

Yeah, I do understand what you mean. Though, I happen to like the voice actors' (particularly of D and Meier) voices (not necessarily the acting). But you're right I think something gets lost when they do the english dubbing!

Which is weird.
Cause the US is known for good full feature animation movies.
yet, the only time i saw sort of disney-unrelated dubbing
(sort of) because it was when DISNEY re-released the Ghibli studio animations with famous actors dubbing Miyazaki's stuff.
The same thing happens in gaming. Oh man, i dunno how people can like MGS Snake's american voice. is aaaaaawful.
Same thing with the master chief's voice. i love the character. But the voice's cheesyness is too much for me.

I don't know why this happens. I'm assuming it's because Disney is always willing to shell out the money for decent quality voice actors whereas other companies may not. I guess perhaps it's not worth it somehow? *shakes head* You'd think that would be one of the priorities!

Yay! One of my fav villains of all time! He felt so sorry for him I wanted to die watching the movie. I think you cought him just perfect! Sad but still gorgeous. And he has that little smirk pasted on his face ready to trick us any moment >:3

Really fantastic work. Definately looks like it was worth the ten hours you spent on it. Your coloring is really remarkable here. And I think most will agree with you as to how cool this character is.
