First of all it is ls learned rather then inherited sakura had a
Smaller chakra resources unlike sasuke and naruto which allowed her to have better control over it. 
My version Shinachiku doesn't have that kind of control over his. 
He does learn how to use basic medical jutsu later in the years (one of the reasons because he's "forced"  to learn his chakra control.. well if I had to ecplain there would be spoilers XD) however it is not as good as sakura, though once he's grown he can assist the medical ninjas in less complicated healing he won't become a medical ninja. As for Katsuyu he grown fond of her since sakura liked to leave him with her when she assisted her patients. They became quite attached to one another. But Shinachiku didn't think Katsuyu was cool because she could heal when he was 7 he thought she was the strongest animal because of shape shift and acid spit

Ahhhh I see! Sorry about that, I only have little knowledge of this technique specificlly! I am curious about how he was "forced" to learn it. I'm curious as to what the reasoning might be but I'lol wait until you release more info about this event of sorts! As for Katsuyu, I still think it's neat for Shinachiku to be attached to her when he was young! Not enough love for mama slug! XD
