Description
The illustration for the Sonic story I wrote for Halloween called "The Dark Legend." The name of the story was chosen from a list of possible titles that I wrote down, and this is the one I went with because I felt it was the most fitting. In this picture, Sonic wakes up to find himself in what I call the "Ghost Realm" after a frightening experience when he entered Mystic Mansion. To learn more about the Ghost Realm and the mansion itself, you'll have to read the story. This illustration was actually put together with two programs -- Sonic was drawn and colored on Paint, and the background was done on a program called Pencil. The reason why I used Pencil for the background was because I couldn't achieve the effect I wanted on Paint, even with several different brush tools. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out in the end.
