Ghislaine began working solo after her adventurers party disbanded. While she had no problem completing missions, thanks to her skills as a Sword Saint, she soon found herself dealing with other issues. Ghislaine was completely illiterate and was rather bad at handling money, leading to her getting scammed many times. She eventually ended up collapsing due to hunger, exhaustion and several injuries she couldn't pay to treat. Thankfully for the demi-human swordswoman, she was found and taken in by the Iron Fang, a mercenary group led by Anastasia Hoshin.

Following Ghislaine's recovery, she accepted a job offer to work for the Iron Fang. She primarily works as a bodyguard for Anastasia but also helps out for any big assignments given to the Iron Fang and helps train new recruits. While Ghislaine gets along well with many of her new coworkers, she was able to become quite close with Anastasia after the Kararagi native offered to teach her math and literacy. The two are often seen together and Anastasia considers Ghislaine to be one of her closest confidants.
