Thanks for hiding that....out of curiosity, what did you think of that idea?

I think it could be interesting....the iconography bit would have to be in the future, or perhaps at an earlier age. Soviet imagery is actually not that loaded in current American culture, perhaps in other parts of the world it has more weight. Nazi icons though are renewed constantly by film, games, and other media. Not sure you could find a middle school child that didn't already have a negative association of it.

Starship Troopers the film (not the book) tells a message of youth in early Nazi stages being recruited , and trys to pop it on the audience that they have been cheering Nazis near the end....of course its softened by the fact that the enemy are giant flesh eating bugs.

I could see doing something in that vein...

or something along the lines of the beginning of the iron cross where peckinpah deliberately spins the tables by having Coburn play a Nazi...though even Sam had to have the enemy Russian, to avoid total US audience alienation.

On the other topic:
Teen suicide is a third rail in some ways in media. Though Japan never seems to shy away from it. The Persona series , at least he 3 rd one, is down right disturbing to have kids shoot themselves in the head over and over to gain power.

Better and more examples for teens on how to deal with bullys though I think are always welcome. Every bit of help and guidance is needed in that area.

This pic is awesome! I liked the movie... but there was so much more that could have been done with the yo-yo stuff. I think I just remember one cool fight. There should have been TONS! Haha! ^_^

Again, very cool pic.

Her Right eye (the eye on the left, as we look at it) is too far to the left (as we look at it).

But hey dude, It's still a great and very cute piece.

great feedback. I totally fixed it (still gotta post the fix). its that inner line that connects the inner edge of the eye to the outer edge of the nose that I always mess up. drawing to much anime!

Heh. I only know about this because of "Hitomi and her Girl Commandos" from the comic Ninja High School. Those characters are a parody of this series. ^^
The painting is nice, but I wish the background had more umph.

thumbed view serves this no justice as you gotta zoom in to really appriciate it's finer details. it's really one of the best Paintings & Airbrushing pieces i've seen! the fact that it ISN'T in the "todays favorites" section totally pisses me off--cause this deviation deserves attention!

the style of the technique is something i really envy. It's soft and blotchy making it look like an oil-painting. not to mention it's well carved out.

Simply amazing.

you ARE the master. Man, it took me like 10 minutes to figure out what the name of the series was! I got this photobook from the movie, and saw a trailer and then had to do the random hunt for it. shoulda just went straight to you! LoL

well, if you mean 'master of not-having-a-real-adult-life,' then i'm guilty as charged...

as far as i know, there were 3 tv series and a movie or two--what can i say, i have an unnatural interest in crime-fighting japanese schoolgirls...

her left eye seem's not to fit a tiny tiny bit, when compared with the other one. but alltogether this is just beautifull. I really like how you made all those skin-tones and the soft warm look including the lightning (or with the lightning). awesome work!
