Yep, it's true. I don't know about the rest of you, but Glinda couldn't be happier. Nope, she couldn't be happier. Not if she wasn't lying to herself everyday, not if she hadn't royally screwed things up with her best friend, and not if she was certain that her fiancee was still in love with her. Those things totally don't matter at all! Seriously, people. She couldn't be happier.

Yaaaay for another picture that I did in one day! I never thought I'd say this, but I think I'm actually getting faster. I drew this completely because I am in love with the dress she wears in this scene. And the hat. The hat is so bomb. And...I'm sure you've all figured it out by now, but I just love Glinda. She's amazin'.

Just curious, which Glinda actress do you all think my version of Glinda looks like the most? I was trying to figure it out the other day, but I'm having a hard time with it. She doesn't look anything like Kristin Chenoweth, or Megan Hilty or Kendra Kassebaum or Annaleigh Ashford or Katie Rose Clarke or.......yeah, the list goes on. Maybe she's completely my own creation!

She looks like "My Galinda" who performed in the version of Wicked that I saw in Madison, WI, Hayley Poduchen. Β (Jennifer DeNoia was Elphie in said version.)

I think she kinda looks like Louise Dearman to be honest ([link] ). But seeing you just listed Broadway Glindas, I suppose you're not really familiar with the London cast and Lou probably wasn't your inspiration

And you don't have to, yours is a beautiful version of what Glinda could look like
If you don't know much about the London casts you should check them out, Louise is my favorite Glinda of them all! The rest of the current London cast is fantastic too (Rachel Tucker <3), dreading Dec 10th cast change so much! I look forward to seeing the new Glinda - Gina Beck - but Lou will always be my one and only And the past-London-casts were great too, Kerry Ellis and Dianne Pilkington especially

Thanks! And I think I've heard the main Elphabas/Glindas from London at least once (I'm a YouTube junkie lol), but maybe I should look into them more. Diane Pilkington is an amazing actress and she makes a fantastic Glinda, but her voice is soooooo high-pitched!! I can only take it for a short amount of time hahaha. And yeah I heard about the change. Rachel Tucker is staying, right?

Haha! Dianne is actually a mezzo-soprano as is Louise, they both just got an amazing vocal-range, but I know what you mean about Dianne's voice. She puts on that high-pitched baby-voice as Glinda which can be sooo annoying Louise got her own Glinda-voice too but it's not as annoying and I love that she drops it when Glinda is more serious/thoughtful. Especially when she drops the soprano and belts some notes, her β€œthe wicked DIIIIIIEE aloneβ€œ gives me the chills every single time!
Yeah, Rachel is staying - thank goodness! She's so great! - but to be honest I would prefer it if she left with Louise (well, I wanted Lou to stay but since that's not happening...). They have amazing chemistry on stage and are best friends off stage... they should leave together, I'm just so bumbed out that Tuckman has to end like this. Also, Lou was always my favorite of the two. But I'll support her whatever she does next, my love for her doesn't end with Wicked to be sure! Still, I'm excited for the new Glinda, she seems like a great choice and is the first London Glinda who's actually a natural soprano

Yeah, it's not Dianne's singing voice that bugs me so much as her talking voice. I mean, I know the way she talks is supposed to be a little annoying, but seriously....lol. And I've heard that belt Louise does on that line in NOMTW, and it's so epic! It's like it was just meant to be. You're making me want to go try to find more YouTube videos of the Rachel and Louise.

LOL then you should do that! A bootleg of a whole Tuckman show does exist and most of it is on youtube (I could also get you links to download that show if you're interested ).
I've been so lucky to have see Lou and Rachel together 4 times so far (Lou 5 times, Rachel was off sick that one show, her unterstudy Nikki Davis-Jones is great too ). They never fail to amaze me. I'm going back to London in about 5 weeks - I'm from Germany actually so... - will be the last time before cast change
