one of my main characters, Vinny, got a design update!! His last reference sheet was from all the way back in 2017, so he definitely deserved a new one!!

Vincent Takoda is a tiger Sapien with a kind, easygoing demeanor. Outgoing and social, he loves spending time with friends and gets along with most anybody. He has a big heart and likes to help people, and in his spare time, he writes music and performs in a band with his best friend Axel.

He's also entirely aware that he's fictional, and that I'm the one writing this.

Vinny grapples with the existential dread that comes with knowing the true nature of his own existence, and the isolation he feels from others knowing they're all fictional. He knows he is too, and he's no different, but the awareness he has makes him feel alone and uncomfortable, like he's the sole real person in a room full of decoys. He regularly has conversations with the authors- he thinks if he befriends them, charms them enough, he may be able to convince them to stop writing conflict into his story and hurting his friends.
