Mah sensei again, this time in glorious Technicolor. This was a commission for her because she loves faeries and she specializes in fire dances (poi). She will be doing some of her fire dance at Renfaire this year. Maybe I can get some photos. She is an absolute pleasure to draw because she is very pretty and has distinctive features. To me it brings out the energy of dance with her strong, compact form, the powerful flame hues and the swirling patterns of her clothes and wings. It's a very compelling piece.
