I WAS GOING 2 SLEEP WHEN I THOGUHT OF THIS DEISNG LMFASFJDC
PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY ??
GIANT,,,R ABBIT??? BEAR??? THAT LOVES 2 SLEEP
THEIR EYES ARE RARELY OPEN, THEY ARE VERY VERY BIG!!!
THEY MOVE FROM FOREST TO FOREST TO SWAMP (ALL THOS SECRET MYTHICAL PLACES YA GOT ME?)
like their name which is derived from the greek word ophelos, it means 'help'
they help lost children/animals back to their home. they put them in a trance like state i guess? hypnotized? idk. they can make
this cool pinkish/purplish gas/smoke that helps them control + guide whoever they are guiding back to where they belong.
they do this alot on hunters and other people that are there to hurt the forest / spirits / animals YEAH

they are only visible to people that love the land/forest and are there for peace and such (people that respect the wildlife and spirits there)
this is mainly why kids can see them but most adults cant, alot of kids refer to them as "her" or a mother of the woods
although they are sexless, and gender does not mean jack sht to them, they can also go by she pronouns LOL
back to how big she is, shes like,,, the size of totoro PFF

anyway - she only ever opens her eyes when SHES DOIN THE SMOKEY THINGY! tht comes from her mouth btw she just blows it out and the person/animal will leave and go striaght back
where they came from and blah blah yah i made this all up within 3 minutes

oH she cant talk but shes ?? able to communicate with othrs like "telepathy" i guess?
and whenever shes near a child or something tht could be scared of their claws (which they,,, never even use its probably for climbin up a tree or opening somethng lmfao)
they can sheathe them and just have big ol bear paws (without the claws) BIG TOE BEANS!!!!
