Flash crashed in the middle of working on an assignment so I said screw it and drew something for myself before I went on a rampage of absolute destruction and sorrow.Have wanted to draw this image for a while

way to wrench the heart strings ;_; can I be selfish and say that I'm kind of glad Flash crashed and you went off and drew this for yourself? Very beautiful and sad, you can feel the emotion emitting off this and is a perfect scene edition to the manga of what we didn't see but know probably happened.

Yeah XD I mean, given how that scene was shown, i'm pretty sure it's likely this happened the moment after he snapped out of it and saw the horror around him (and thus ran the hell away). Given that he had his hat and violin by the time we see the "Aftermath" in the manga I've always just assumed he had time (or oboe did) to go back and get it.

I loved the first Violinist of Hamlen, and I'm now reading the sequal. I think this piece does convey a lot of emotion especially after the tradgedy with his mother.

Him holding Oboe like that is the cutest thing.evah.
The cuteness is only downgraded by the depressing context of the moment and brings a nice sad face up for show. 
But this is still cute! And sad!...Cute and sad...odd mixture, but that makes it utterly liked and a powerful thing to look at. My heartstrings hath been tugged.
