Katsumi could finally start new. Coming out as trans in middle school wasn't easy, and many people made it hard for her. But UA High School was a clean sheet, and nobody knew. Her only concern was Deku. She feared that he would accidentally out her.
Deku always tried his best to gender her correctly, but she knew he sometimes talked without thinking.

UA was great, and Katsumi made a few friends right away. She got along with most of the girls. But there was this very beautiful but shy girl, Shoko Todoroki. She had trouble interacting with others.

Shoko was Katsumi's first gay crisis. She felt this weird attraction for the other girl.

Then one of the teachers put the two together for a school project, and they got to know each other better. Shoko was lovely after thawing up a little bit. They became friends, and even after the project, they hung out together.

Then, a few weeks later, Katsumi visited Shoko at her home; her family was lovely. She had many siblings, something Katsumi envied her for.

However, later that day, her father came home, and that's when Katsumi noticed how stiff Shoko got. Much to her horror, Enji deadnamed her. He told Katsumi that this was "his son." He also told Shoko "he" would "never be a woman" and that "he" should stop being "delusional."

Clearly upset, Shoko ran to her room and, cursing, Katsumi followed her. Shoko cried heavily and asked if Katsumi found her "disgusting" now. Katsumi hugged her and tried her best to comfort her.

She revealed that she was also trans and that Shoko didn't have to worry about anything. This revelation surprised Shoko, but she was happy that Katsumi didn't judge her.

A few weeks passed, and Katsumi and Shoko had built a very close relationship. They casually started exploring each other, kissed a lot, and both enjoyed it.

However, when Katsumi saw Deku getting flirted with, she got jealous and revealed to Shoko that she had the biggest crush on the nerd, but she feared that he didn't even see her as a woman. Shoko asked what she meant by that, and Katsumi explained that Deku was so casual with her.

She feared that she was still just "one of the boys" for Deku. Shoko tried to console her on that. Then, Katsumi asked her if she had a crush too, which Shoko confirmed. She liked Kirishima very much.

And so, the two girls made a pact. They tried to get the boys to date them this summer.

However, things got a little more complicated since both had feelings for each other. And while Shoko got into a relationship with Kirishima relatively quickly, Katsumi struggled.

No matter what she did, Deku never responded to her advances. She dressed provocatively for him and showed off the little bit of chest that she had, but nothing helped.

She eventually broke down crying because nothing helped. Deku was concerned for her and asked what was wrong. And Katsumi yelled at him, asking why he didn't like her. She tried so much to get him to like her.

Deku was confused; he told her he had always liked Kacchan. Katsumi flinched, and she asked him why he still used that name. She wasn't her past self anymore. So why did he cling to that nickname? Did he even see her as a woman?

Izuku was mortified when she asked him that. He pulled her into a hug and shushed her. "Of course, I see you as a woman," he said. "I didn't know that the nickname bothered you so much. I figured "Kacchan" would go for Katsumi as much as it did for your old name." He squeezed her tighter. "But if you want me to stop, then I will do it."

For a moment, Katsumi contemplated. She looked up at Deku, and eventually, she sighed. "No, it's okay. You can keep calling me Kacchan." She said.

They started dating after that, but there was still this sexual tension between Shoko and Katsumi. But, neither Kirishima nor Deku had problems with the two girls dating.

This sure was the best summer both of them had so far.
