So, this is Hugo aka Hurley of the series Lost. This is part of a collaboration at vexels.net.
I worked for over a week on this, because as you might have noticed, the face and clothes are all gradients (the hair is not). I have worked with them before but never on a face so it was quite a challenge. However, I really liked working with them, they're great and I also really like the look they create.
And now the subject. I just love Hurley's character, the way he says 'dude' and his dry humour. Also I have noticed that I have never vexelled a person who doesn't match the beauty ideal (well apart from myself), so I decided that it was about time! I can tell you that it was a lot of fun vexelling someone with flaws and not the perfect body, more than you would expect. I hope I captured his character for a bit and that I did him justice. In any case I think this is one of my best ones so far (because I succeeded in using gradients properly, heh )
