This one is truly beautiful, an instant favourite. The whole thing looks so sad, with the waves crashing beneath a blackened sky, the rain pouring down. Her expression is very well done, and you can tell that she is sad if all you can see is her eyes. Her posture and hair certainly add to the feeling of loneliness, but I must say that I think what gives this piece extra credit is the effort gone into making the clothes look ~wet~, as though she's been walking in this rain for quite some time.
I must say the angle at which it is made also adds some interesting effect, although I can't say exactly how it affects me it certainly adds to the overall feel of the piece.
