Well #4 (from top down) reminds me of Paula from the Earthbound series of games. #3 reminds me of Mandark (probably the hair and glasses), and #1 reminds me of one of the newer generic "pokemon trainers", kind of like the one from Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Somehow, they all seem very..."paying homage" to their "roots", assuming my deductions are accurate.
