Wanted to add this to my art site so I can go step by step as to how I made this dress To help anyone wanting to make one or just for your knowledge

Step one: Bought a wedding dress from a thrift store

step two: used a spray bottle with rite dye in purple and blue to add color around the bottom and to the lace appliques

step three: Then took acrylic paint in shiny silver and added swirls along the bottom as well as add a bodice like shape to the top. I also added some silver along the top to make it look dirty.

step four: I took out some stiches and cut a slit up the dress.

step five: I wanted a little more darkness along the bottom so I used Spray paint in plum and black to darken the hem to get that dragged through the grave look

Step six: I made a rib piece out of fimo clay making it 3-D looking them baked it and painted it with acrylic paint. Remember to cut holes in the clay piece to use to sew it on

step seven: I lined the rib piece up along my own ribs and marked it, and hand sewed it on.

step eight: To make the head piece I used a old head band then took a piece of purple tulle and folded one edge so it over lapped itself and fit on the head band. As I did this I hot glued it on the head band.

step nine: After I got the tulle on I took silk roses and pulled them from the plastic stem and hot glued them on in a pattern I liked. Remember to leave about two inches of the head band clear so you dont look like you have a halo.

step ten: After you have it together you can take the spray paint you used earlier to spray the head band and the tulle so it looks dark and worn.

step eleven: To make the bouquet I spray painted silk roses and carnations as well as the stems with the spray paint then spray painted a little bit of a white cloth strip. Not over doing it cause it needs to look like its white and dirty not all black. Then wrapped the stem ends with the strip.
