My younger sister as a Dragon.As a water dragon she doesn't have skill or power in her fire breath but instead she has talent in magic.

Time.... lots of time. Art school helps... a little... maybe. Art school was great for teaching me color but it ruined my drawing. I couldn't do art for a year after I graduated. Super depressing. It's three years later and I finally am doing art I like. An inspiring quote from a fellow artist, "Good artists are just crappy artists who never gave up." Looking at your gallery I see a lot of good things! You are very talented yourself!
If you would like I can post "Disaqua" layer by layer WIP. You can then see how I start with a drawing and slowly build the color and paint over the lines.

Sorry for being slow getting back to you.
So I went through the layers on "Disaqua" and since I was working so fast to get it done for Christmas I painted on the wrong layers. Meaning I can't make a good step by step of that painting. 
Or, I just look at my Elly Jelly Dragon fav.me/d9r2xk7 and I did the layers right for a step by step on that. Would you like me to post about that painting?

I don't usually just give redundent praise but... damn... Every... single... detail... works here... The vast openess of the sky with the long flowing body of the dragon, the smile and gentle eyes with the light, simple and gentle look also including angel which can also be seen as some good characterization there c:, the lighting coming foward onto the dragon, with the dark background... and not only does its nuances work so well but the art is great to. I like how its body flows through the clouds and over all its just a good design. And just sayin'... I agree with the first comment, this picture just makes me happy. And all complicatedness out of the way... this is just really damn good

I'm just pointing out the magical ones. Heather and Mitch are fire types. Des is a fire type but because he is weaker in fire means he has a little magic. Ash has no fire so she is all magic. Mine has little fire or magic. Making it so I use neither and tend to stay out of other dragons way. Might change that later on but just my thoughts for now.
