Absolutely stunning, it vaguely reminds me of 'The life of Pi' in the best way possible. I love the way the whale has bio-luminescent stripes that make up constellations and that one set of clouds that reflect on the ocean just really catch your eye.

Ohmagosh I love the that movie!! When I first watched it, I was awestruck by all beauty in it, and I really wanted to do some life of pi inspired scenery but I never got the chance. Until this came along out of no where. Haha, first I just wanted to do a simple cloud and sea practice kind of thing, and then I thought back on the movie half way through, and remembered that night scene where there was that jumping whale and bio-luminescent sea creatures floating around everywhere and oh gosh it was so pretty so that's when I decided to add in a whale ;D

So the movie actually inspired a part of it? Yeah the movie was really visually stunning, my favorite part being the whale and the look of the island that ate people. I almost cried when the tiger was trying to get back in the boat and was just treading water cause it looked just like my sisters cat and I felt like my baby was drowning.

Awwwee I remember that part! I think the saddest part for me was when pi realized he was dying, along with the tiger, and then he put the tigers head on his lap. It was so touching.

Haha I made the constellations a lot more transparent than I originally had them, so I wasn't sure if they were visible anymore, but it's cool how you noticed that little detail! ;D
