How do you make the trees in the background seem less visible after you put them in the background in the first place?

Wowzers, this is amazing, Pure!! 
So refreshing to see something new from you, other than cats. Lol (And it's gotta be refreshing to draw) 

The background is lovely, for trying something new, it really sets the tone to this piece! The trees are so well done, seriously. <3 <3 
Shading is looking great as ever, Always adore it! 

Now, I want to give criticism, aha. Forgive. 
The muzzles are well done, and I love the teeth showing on that certain wolf! But I feel as though the body of these wolves are a bit too small. 
I understand, canvas size and trying to fit everything. (Usually the problem for me too) But I think these wolves have the same size of those of a cat. ;;; 
I would suggest to make them a bit bigger to fit with the background, since I think the background is bit too big??? I might be seeing it wrong, it's early haha 

Wolves are much more build than cats, and a bit taler. Although, you seem to nail the legs of the wolf snarling! 
I found pics that might help next time? But yeah, I would suggest looking more of wolf anatomy for the future. c:

pre15.deviantart.net/53e2/th/p… (2 gives a good example what a wolf looks like when cowering. Which seems what should be fitting for the wolf behind the two. The legs here should help get an idea about their legs) 

I would put a link to the body/anatomy of a full wolf, but I'm sure you can do that. xD 

Really, everything else is so beautiful! 
The tension in the characters really sets a mood, and you can tell there's something more.

Whoa Pure I could totally see the effort you have put into this piece. (Thus I have watched the speedpaint). This could be described as defined, Now the details alone in this drawing I can't even begin to describe the beauty  of it.  For me personally the background seem's like a pain, but you have nailed it to the bone!. And that takes skill, and might I add patience. I see you mostly draw cats. And i'm guessing this wolf anatomy might you taken you a while to get used to it, therefore it would have been difficult. But nevertheless you have once again made the anatomy perfect. Know everyone has there flaws, but this is just your style. And your style is unique and just one of the kind so keep up with this style. So i'll give this one a 10/10 and good job!.

Oh man this looks so detailed; I really love the background and the trees! You put a lot of focus into your background drawings, I applaud you ;u;
I really like how you drew the brown wolf to the right, that neck fur and shading looks fantastic. The expressions in all the characters also look very well done,
though if I had to comment on one thing I feel as though the muzzle on the spotted dark brown wolf left) is a little too big? Honestly, that's the only real flaw I see. ;v;
Looking forward to seeing whatever you post next, once again spectacular work!
