This isn't a particular scene, just a drawing of Crookedjaw and Mapleshade. I feel like The Ladder Song really applies to these two, it gave me chills listening to it, especially this specific line.
I had a ton of fun with this. Mapleshade went through a little bit of a touch up with her design. You can't really see it here, but she turned out to be a tad more redish.

This is insane... The blurred background looks amazing and really hits the atmosphere, just like the touch of green. Mapleshade's glowing eyes make it look a lot creepier - and while I'm talking about Mapleshade, her design is just gorgeus!

I felt that this quote relates to Crookedstar's Promise because the quote talks about how you shouldn't stick around once a promise is broken or you will hang around long enough to where another promise is being made.
Crookedstar made a promise to Mapleshade, and after it was broken, he hung around long enough for another promise to be made. Though it wasn't by him, but by Mapleshade. She promised that he will suffer the consequences of breaking his promise and he had to watch his loved ones die.

Ah this looks so awesome! The shading, the slight green tinge of the Place of No Stars, the slight transparency of Mapleshade... I feel like not a lot of people draw these two character, together or separately (well, I see Mapleshade a lot more than Crookedstar), and I just adore them both! I especially love how you made Crookedstar's jaw look messed up without making it look too ridiculous (like, too far off to the side, or his tongue constantly hanging out).
