-During Firestar''s Quest, she played the role of medicine cat to Skyclan, before she and Firestar found and trained Echosong.
- One of Leafstar's kits, Stormkit, is named after Sandstorm.
- Sandstorm was killed to thin the crowd, although Kate says it would have been nice to have her go out defending her Clanmates.

Yes. Ashfur was in love with Squirrelflight and tried to trap Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Holly leaf in the camp while it was on fire. Ashfur is Sandstorm's half-brother. Sandstorm is Squirrelflight's mother. Squirrelflight is Ashfur's neice

Honestly, so many of the characters right now are really old and should have died/retired long ago. It seems like in the older books (both published and chronologically) cats died or became elders much sooner in their career. It's like the authors don't want to let go

It was a shame she was killed off. She was one of the few who stuck through it from the very first series. It's such a saddening sight to see someone go like that. And to a shoulder wound no less. Come on!

Sorry XD I love her too much. I just adore her development through the series, the edgy apprentice with a loathing for kittypets soon became a warrior with a loving mate, but she still kept some of her flare
I can't stand how people hate her, I mean, Firestar didn't even love her or set aside much time for her, she longed to have another set of kits, but Forester was to 'busy'. And I HATE how spotted leaf was killed of, so Firestar didi;t have to 'decide'. I mean, Fuck him.
