Kelsey Hino has a dream of winning a ton of Splat battles and becoming a champion of the sport; however, her family food business is more import so she spends more time in there than living out her passion hobby.
One day, during one of her shifts at her restaurant, the doors suddenly become covered in black ink, leaving all the inklings inside to be trapped alongside her and her family. Luckily for her, Emily was nearby watching the Octoling wolf attack the building, so she turns into Agent Lucky/Happy and starts attacking him, using her burst bombs to get rid of the ink covering the door. Kelsey runs out and uses her frying pan to hit Urlink/Wolfink; catching the two small inkling's attention leading them to run up to her and giving her the agent employment; which she accepts and joins Emily as Agent Sunny, helping her defeat the Octoling villain with her Sunny Sting Ray
Welding the hero Splatling, Sunny and Lucky/Happy are now working together to find the rest of their team and defeat "The Shadow Realm" and Emperor Nogo/Perriot
