OchreKeep me in your skin,
I will keep you on mine.
Breath on my palms
Marks on my shoulders,
I tried to wash my hands of you-
But you have stained my fingernails.
Such fine art
Made with war paint,
Sometimes I forget to sign it
With my name-
I only exist when we are together.
When the sun rises,
All I see is ochre.
There is no calm
No rest,
There is only living
So I might see you again.
