Description Sort of an experimental-distorted realism (whatever) sketch of my blood mage, Therawyn. Just for kicks.

I haven't played Star Wars, but Exar Kun is certainly her type, but perhaps a little too bad ass for her???

i dont believe in equality in relationships. one of them must always be dominant

but not all Sith lords are so bad: "Though a proponent of the dark side, Darth Vectivus' self-discipline and preexisting code of ethics allowed him to remain fair and balanced without succumbing to the lure of power which plagued many of the Sith Lords who preceded him. He eventually returned to the mine and maintained a plentiful existence in the company of friends and loved ones alike."

You're welcome, Taliessyn

I never played as a Blood Mage in Dragon Age. How different is it from playing as a regular mage?

I love it! Blood mages are overpowered in DAO, especially at higher levels. Therawyn is a blood mage/spirit healer (odd but useful combination; blood mage/arcane warrior probably makes more sense ), so she causes all sorts of damage to blood creatures with blood wound and shares in the healing with another mage. Blood wound is an area of effect spell, causing tremendous spirit damage; another advantage is that it does not harm companions. Blood wound and mana clash are presently my favorite spells.

Initially, I stayed away from blood mage specialization because I thought it required an evil disposition. But, I'm not so sure about that anymore...

You can learn the blood mage specialization from the desire demon who has possessed Connor. If your persuade check is high, you can force her to give you the specialization and still save Connor.

Ah, but now I am blathering... What kind of character(s) have you played in DAO?

Me? Well I never completed the game (partly because I lost interest), but my main was a city elf rogue named Cassielle (her appearance inspired partly by a certain paladin ). But when I created my Human Mage, Diana, she had a more developed story than Cassie. I never was tempted to go into the blood mage specialization with her - personally I feel it's kind of wrong to use your own or another's blood to cast certain spells. Diana reflects the more gentle part of me best.

I understand the dilemma using the blood of one's companions; Therawyn doesn't use blood sacrifice. However, I don't have a problem with her using her own blood to power her spells.

I really love DAO; surprisingly, it replaced NWN2 as my favorite go-to game. DA2 was a big disappointment, though.

As long as she uses it responsibly, I'm okay with that

I agree, DA2 was a big disappointment - my brother played it, but I wasn't interested at all. It felt like it was more propaganda than the game its predecessor was. I mean I get it that they wrote the story that way to build up for a sequel, but there are more subtle ways of doing that...

And I noticed that DAO replaced NWN2 I miss your NWN2 pics
