Description
Round 7 and Palutena has yet to land a hit so far, being used like a ragdoll, being pummelled and thrown around.
Story: Medusa challenges Palutena to a wrestling match to determine the fate of the Overworld, if Medusa loses then she will give up her plan of revenge and stop trying to torment Overworld forever BUT if she wins then she gain total control over Overworld AND Skyworld. Palutena sees this opportunity to end this war once and for all so she accepts.
But Medusa with the home field advantage must surely have some sneaky nasty rule breaking tactics, for starters it definitely isn't a good sign that the referee is the eggplant wizard who would probably slow count if Palutena goes for the pin. It seems the ropes are actually Shemum's, if Palutena gets caught on the wrong end of them it will most likely lead to severe pain caused by a harsh tag combo with Medusa and the snakes. If Palutena gets slammed in the corner and isn't paying attention then the snakes will untie themselves from the corner then work together to bound her to the corner letting Medusa get in some devastating blows making it another unpleasant tag combo. Lastly with the Shemum's is that without Palutena knowing, they have weapons like Eggplant Wands and Ogre Clubs wedged in-between them and the corner pillar. As this is the Underworld, the crowd is filled with Underworld soldiers with absolutely no honour so they will attacks Palutena if she gets thrown out the ring. With all that hopefully Palutena will prevail.... somehow.....
I love squash matches in wrestling so that is why I used Medusa's old design from the NES game.
I wanted to make this stand out so I added a lot of detail like the colour scheme from using lots of blues and purples for objects and the black background when fighting Medusa in the NES game, I added in mist for the background so it doesn't seem blank. Now for the biggest detail the Shemum's, originally I was going to do a normal wrestling ring but while making this I thought 'What makes this so UNDERWORLD?' so I added an Underworld solider that could easily be stretched and still seem normal and thin enough to be rope. Another detail are the corner posts as they were normal before changing the ring but then I made them pillars as they are seen around Underworld in the NES game. Lastly I was gonna add snakes from Medusa's hair perhaps hissing at Palutena but I wasn't sure how to properly add it in so that it would fit in and look good.
Anyway I'm happy with how this turned out and hope you enjoy.
