Some Leoretta Lore Content:

Immortals are endless, emotionless, constant beings. They don’t reproduce, they only make copies of themselves. After being defeated by the saviors/ heroes they’ve create, a copy of themselves is made to create the next hero. The cycle continues.

The immortal’s former and new self address each other as one person. Except one immortal. The former self allows the new self to be called elder. The Elder recognizes a shift in the cycle. The number of immortals are dwindling. The land of heroes and stories is changing. The Elder decided, to cut his copy from himself and make it it’s own. Before the shift could touch them too.

Leoretta is inspired by bits of my Native culture and history. When colonization hit. Native parents were forced to send their children off to terrible boarding schools. These schools beat the children’s culture out of them to be forgotten. The parents not only had no choice, but thought it would be the best way for their children to adapt and survive in the new world.

Some parents want the absolute best for their children and let them grow into their own person instead of a carbon copy of themselves. But not all of them are able to raise them in best way. Sometime the child is left confused by the actions the parents made to set them on the best possible path, and it leaves some unresolved development.

Leoretta was no longer Elder, but her own immortal self. And no longer had guidance to prepare her for what happens.
